The reason video wall trade show displays are so new is that the technology improved over the last few years. For instance, 10 years ago we saw digital billboard signs. The way the signs worked is that the resolution was so poor that it was only possible to view these digital billboards from a distance. Little by little the resolution improved but before it did people configured an array of 42 inch monitors to be a video wall. Consequently, you could always see the gaps between each monitor.
Although you could always configure all of the individual monitors to act like one giant TV screen you could always see the gaps between them. The only way to get around this problem was to use the same technology that was used in digital billboard signs. However, the resolution was so poor that a person would need to be at least 100 feet away from the booth. Obviously, this solution wouldn’t work until the LED display technology improved.
LED technology improved more and more as time went by. Finally the video wall could be used in a trade show display. However, we just had new problems such as how to attach the video wall to the trade show booth. Often, trusses would be used and this added to the bulk of what needed to be shipped to the exhibit hall. Not only that, but this also added to the setup time. As a result, it cost more to ship, drayage was more expensive and labor to assemble the booth was more expensive.
Even when a company didn’t mind the additional cost to have a video wall trade show booth, it wasn’t an elegant solution. You could always see where the wall was attached to the booth. Sometimes you’d see the cables that ran the video wall. Cables would often be wire tied or duct taped together to try to hid them. Consequently, the exhibitor always has to try to ignore those problems.
What Makes Our LED Trade Show Displays Different
Video walls can now be made of individual LED panels that all fit together. There are no gaps between the LED panels. Consequently, it appears to be one solid video wall. The best part is that the LED panels form the video wall. What that means, is that you aren’t attaching a video wall to a trade show booth, the video wall is the booth. The entire trade show display can be made of video walls.
What we end up with is LED exhibit booths instead of a booth with a video wall attached. This is the elegant solution we always hoped we would have when the LED resolution improved enough. As a result, we no longer have the trade show booth and video wall as two separate parts. We can simply build trade show booths using video walls. No more exposed cables, no more gaps, just a beautiful trade show display.
We can make flat LED exhibit booth walls, corners that are video walls and curved LED walls all without showing where the LED video panels fit together. What’s more, we’ve got the newest technology on the market. Our LED trade show displays have pixels that are only 2.5 millimeters apart. What that means to you is that someone would need to stand unrealistically close to your LED exhibit booth to be able to see the individual pixels.
From about 3 feet away people walking into your exhibit space would see sharp, clear video. In order to see pixels that are only 2.5mm apart they would have to get very close to the wall and look carefully.
Affordable LED Exhibit Booths
The technology is still on the expensive side. Also, the technology continues to improve. For that reason, it won’t make sense for a company to invest in a video wall trade show booth that will be outdated next year. It is much more econimical and practical to look into video wall trade show display rentals.
With LED exhibit booth rentals you don’t have to buy rapidly changing technology. Additionally, since we don’t need trusses, you’ll save on shipping and drayage. Plus, our video wall displays set up without any tools and keep labor costs down.
